Mad World - Rock

"wow"

submission: Mad World - Rock

All that extra instruments really packed a punch into this cover
Amazing all around.
The only downfall is not hearing enough of the other instruments

Although that is bad, that guitar is so powerful which makes it amazing

I'll give ya a review, and some advice.
The sound balancing was good, maybe a little less drums. They seemed to be too overpowering to the actual melody. It got a bit boring towards the middle, so you might wanna mix it up a bit more next time.
Add some different instruments, or combine a few instruments to make some new sounds, that's what music is all about anyway.

And as for getting reviews. You do not need to spam it on your description. Best way that I could see to get reviews, is to review as many songs as possible. That way, other people appreciate what you are doing and hopefully return the favor. If they don't, oh well. You got a lot more than one person seeing the review you posted anyway.
So keep that in mind, and keep making music!

overall - repetitious, add some more sounds

alright, ill keep that in mind

(I Want To) Believe

"great"

date: March 18, 2008

The beginning was kinda misleading for the rest of the song, to me at least.
Needs some more bass. Bass all around actually (bass drum, bass guitar, bass notes)
The treble stuff just seems to dominate the track too much in my opinion
The solo didn't really fit the distortion of the entire song
nice bridge (but more bass like i said before (bass drum))
overall - great song

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review! I really got to fix the volume on my bass drum... I could use new speakers too. When I record my music, I usually can't hear the bass that well cause of my crappy speakers, so I have to guess about how loud the bass should be. Sometimes I'm dead on, sometimes I'm not even close. I agree that the bass needs to be louder, and I'll probably fix that soon. Thanks again for the review!

the best part of this song was the transitions

"woah"

date: March 17, 2008

this reminded me of some fire emblem elements
great execution of building the tension, although it nearly blasted me back in my seat. Might wanna raise the volume of that first bit a tad so that blast isn't that big, lol.
drums in the song, great
the guitar goes crazy and doesn't hurt the ears, what else is there to say?
overall - nice epic piece, hope to hear more of it
let me know next time you do one like this, aight?

i liked the synth going throughout the song, it fit together quite nicely
the offbeats of the bass drum didn't feel right though. Maybe try another instrument there.
drum beat was alright, could've used more to it though
1:50 the piano...i didn't prefer it. good try though, i was really waiting for something to come in though, just the piano didn't quite do it. not sure what instrument would fit well there for this kind of a song, maybe a different sounding synth of some sort?
oh well, i'm just rambling
overall - pretty good, needs some more wood on the fire though

March 18, 2008

Author's Response:

Thanks for the comments. I may tweak it a little more here and there, but for the most part this is supposed to be an upbeat yet surreal sounding piece. For wood on the fire, wait for #2 in the series, {IDR}-Sepia. :)

Ah where to begin
The tension buildup was perfectly timed.
Maybe throw in some sounds for 0 bombers who come in along the way.
P-Bot's attack on that submission is priceless, I'll be waiting for the longer more gruesome kill of the next flash. XD
overall - amazing

Reminds me of those long days mining!
I liked your usage of the piano.
It needed something else for the climactic part of the song
An extra kick of something higher that fades in maybe?
overall - really enjoyed this

Author's Response:

Hrm, yes, it seems it could use a little something else. I'll fiddle around with some sounds to make it more "climactic" when I get the time.

"nice"

submission: From Where?

nice guitar and bass
now find some vocals and drums and you'd have yourself a song
the distorted guitar is very sloppy but i like it anyway
the solo sounded out of place with that much distortion though

overall - a good song, just needs some drums and vocals
